The time has come to apply for college, again. I am in the process of applying to Bridgewater State College. I started to write the essay, but it is not finished yet. I showed it to my unit commander, because she majored in journalism. She gave me a lot of tips for writing. Here is what I showed her. I call it… “the first draft.” It could possible be too short for a draft, but I already plan on editing it, so I don’t care that anybody sees it.

Continuing with a successful college education in business has become my current focus. I had started working towards a General Studies degree at the New Bedford annex of Fisher College, when I was pulled away from my studies to serve a tour of duty is Iraq. Now that I am returning home, I have decided to get serious about college, and finish a degree in Business Finance at Bridgewater State College.
With the discipline and skills the U.S. Army has enabled me to learn, and the academic knowledge I receive from Bridgewater State College, I hope to one day start my own business. To help me attain this goal, I want to take challenging college courses that will provide me with an understanding of accounting and finance

Fisher College is a fantastic school - you should head back! They have new degree programs. Essay looks great, btw.
