Walking with Headphones

It's a strange world we live in. I see the world open up a little more every day. Human behavior is even stranger.
Attending Bridgewater State College (excuse me, UNIVERSITY) has been exciting. The classes are challenging, and they stimulating. I am using more brain power here then I have used in a long time, if ever. The school is also challenging me in other ways. The home work load is a little on the heavy side, but the time I spend at the school makes time management a challenge. I have other responsibilities besides school, like cook food and fresh clothes, house cleaning, and work.
With all this going on, the short breaks between classes are enjoyable walks, and I like to enjoy the sounds of the birds, wind, and the train. But I see these students that walk around with headphones. These walks are not long. But the students feel the need for constant entertainment.
One? Two songs can be finished by these short walks? Is it really worth it? Do you really need your mind to be occupied the whole time? Is life that boring to you?
Of course, I am only writing this to avoid doing homework.
